Customize Sewing Thread Colors

Color accuracy in sewing threads is of paramount importance. It ensures that the final product aligns with the original design vision, maintaining the integrity and aesthetics of the piece. Inaccurate color can disrupt the overall harmony of a design, causing a jarring visual experience. Therefore, it is crucial to select sewing threads with precise color matching capabilities. This extends beyond just the thread itself; it includes the color's resilience to various conditions such as washing, exposure to sunlight, and general wear-and-tear. In essence, color accuracy in sewing threads is a vital aspect of delivering high-quality, visually appealing products that meet both designer and consumer expectations.

Customize Sewing Thread Specifications

  • Choosing the right sewing thread sizes for your sewing projects or manufacturing is crucial for ensuring the strength, appearance, and durability of the finished item. When it comes to 100% spun polyester sewing threads, several factors come into play, including the fabric type, the sewing machine, and the end use of the item being sewn.
  • Thread Size Numbers: Thread size is typically indicated by a number (e.g., 40, 50, 60). The higher the number, the finer the thread. Conversely, lower numbers indicate a thicker thread.
  • Ticket Numbering System: Some manufacturers use a ticket number system that might appear as Tkt 40, Tkt 50, etc., which also indicates the thread's thickness.

People Also Ask

  • How to place an order?

Send you inquiries to us, including following information: thread materials, sizes, quantity and other custom requirements. (The above information is crucial for quoting accurate prices.)

  • What kind of sewing thread should I use?
    • In the realm of sewing, thread size plays a pivotal role in determining the application and end result. Different thread sizes serve different purposes, each catering to a specific need in the sewing process.
    • For instance, a thicker thread, like a 20s/2 spun polyester sewing thread, is typically used for stitching denim or bags, where its high visibility adds to the overall aesthetic.
    • On the other hand, a thinner thread, such as a 60s/2 spun polyester sewing thread, is often chosen for detailed work or for use in the thin fabric, due to its discreet appearance and ability to create smooth, even stitches.
    • Understanding the correlation between thread size and its application is crucial in achieving optimal sewing results.
    Yarn Count Application
60s/4 40s/2 The 60s/3 and 40s/2 threads are versatile and ideal for sewing various items like shirts, suits, quilt covers, and sheets.
30s/2 40s/3 Sewing threads of 30s/2 and 40s/3 are ideal for heavier fabrics like worsted fabrics.
    20s/2
    20s/3
Threads labeled as 20s/2 and 20s/3, also known as denim thread, are robust and thick, making them ideal for sewing denim, bags, and more.
50s/2 60s/2 Sewing threads of 50s/2 and 60s/2 are commonly employed for delicate fabrics like silk and georgette, particularly during the summer season.
  • What type of thread is best for sewing?

MH supplies polyester sewing thread, cotton sewing thread, core spun sewing thread, polyester high tenacity sewing thread, nylon high tenacity sewing thread, etc.

    • Polyester Sewing Thread is smooth, strong, absolutely regular, and requires no special skills. It works in all home and industrial sewing machines. Also, it holds up to years of wearing and washing without shrinking.
    • Cotton Sewing Thread can be used for both hand and machine sewing, but for machine sewing choose a cotton thread that has been specially treated (this makes it softer, smoother, so it runs through the machine better). Cotton sewing thread is most often used for quilting and patchwork, but it is also useful for making items that you want to dye or batik afterwards. This is because polyester thread does not take dye.
    • Core Spun Sewing Thread combines a high tenacity polyester filament core with a natural cotton or polyester cover. The filament core offers excellent strength and durability, while the long staple cotton wrap ensures excellent sewing performance and protects the core from needle heat.
    • Polyester High Tenacity Sewing Thread, alternatively termed as Tedron thread, is constructed from high-strength, low-shrinkage polyester filament yarns through a series of processes. This thread boasts superior strength, excellent color fastness, and commendable wear resistance.
    • Nylon High Tenacity Sewing Thread has a higher strength to linear density ratio (Tenacity) than Polyester.  Tenacity is commonly expressed as grams per denier (gpd) with High Tenacity (HT) polyester typically running 9.0 gpd and Nylon 6,6 at 10.0 gpd. So if strength is the only consideration, nylon would appear to be the best choice.
